Combined arms games are a sub-genre of shooters, and key traits include large, open, sandbox-like maps with multiple "capture" points and some form of mixed vehicle/infantry combat. A class based character loadout is also somewhat common. Such games include the Battlefield series, the Star Wars Battlefront series, and the Hawk series including Warhawk and Starhawk.
